When it comes to ambient settings and even better cocktails, Midnight Apothecary is not one to miss.
Located approximately 1 minute walk from Rotherhide Station, this hidden gem is an eden of flowers, cocktails and cosy vibes. Fully adapted to ensure safety during COVID-19, Midnight Apothecary is hosted seasonally by the historic Brunel Museum, providing a unique night out for all.
A series of ticketed free events, visitors can bask in the sunset with a cocktail containing ingredients picked from its very own garden, or cuddle up next to a firepit with mouthwatering chocolate smores. For a more substantial meal option, the organisers also teamed up with the popular Mayflower Pub across the street who serve a limited menu, brought direct to your table. For added safety, all orders are made through its BUTLR App service and there is a one way system around the site.
While Midnight Apothecary is currently closed, they have posted online that tickets for upcoming events will be released soon so be sure to keep a look out.
Both myself and my partner celebrated our anniversary at Midnight Apothecary last summer and the atmosphere was truly magnetic. Drawing you in with sweet smells and beautiful scenery, we both throughly enjoyed the cocktails. Even more, the evening offered a £5 tour of the Thames Tunnel - the first tunnel under a navigable river anywhere in the world. Our quirky tour guide was thoroughly entertaining and it was amazing to explore a hidden treasure of London.
